The Louisiana Chapter of JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) has announced that its Decade of Denim, Diamonds & Diabetes Research Gala & Auction will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011 on the grounds of the home of Dan and Carolyn Heard in Baton Rouge. This year’s event will honor and recognize our gala’s pioneers, corporate leaders, committee leaders, and honorees throughout the last decade through whose leadership, we have raised over $2.1 million in support of diabetes research and JDRF’s mission to find the cure for diabetes and its complications.

This year’s event will again feature the fun-filled "Denim & Diamonds" theme providing the more than 600 expected guests a relaxed, casual evening. The event will be emceed by Gordy Rush and guests will be entertained by live music performed by The VTones, and food from several of the area’s premier restaurants. A silent and live auction and raffle will also boast opportunities from extravagant trips, to exquisite jewelry, and many unique items.

The Louisiana Chapter of JDRF is excited to offer a raffle for a steel-blue 2011 Ford Escape generously donated by Hollingsworth Richards Ford.
